Rank tracker
Every ranking that matters, on one chart.
Track your keywords on Google and Bing by city, ZIP and device, see your Google Maps position block by block, and watch whether AI assistants mention you for the same topics. One tracker, one history, no spreadsheets.
Ask Brigham.aiTrack “software development company” daily in Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity and alert me when DEV.co drops out of the top five.- Daily
- Or weekly, per keyword
- ZIP
- Most precise location
- 7
- Search surfaces
- 2
- Devices tracked
Why it exists
A ranking report should answer “why”, not just “where”.
- Engines
- Google, Bing, Maps + AI
- Cadence
- Daily or weekly
- Location
- Country to ZIP
- Devices
- Desktop & mobile
- History
- Kept for the life of the project
Most rank trackers give you a long table of numbers and leave the hard part to you. You see that a keyword slipped from fourth to ninth, and then you spend an afternoon working out whether it was your change, a competitor’s update or Google moving the goalposts.
The search.co rank tracker keeps the history of every keyword next to the things that move it: the pages you published, the links you gained or lost, the competitors who entered the top ten and the SERP features that appeared above you. When something changes, Brigham.ai reads the timeline and tells you the most likely cause.
It also watches the half of search that classic trackers ignore. For each topic you track, you can add the questions people ask AI assistants and see whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews mention you. Your classic position and your AI visibility sit on the same chart, so you can see whether the page you rewrote moved both.
Local precision
See results the way a customer down the street sees them.
Search results change from one neighborhood to the next, especially for anything with local intent. A plumber who ranks first downtown can be invisible ten minutes away. Tracking at the country level hides that completely.
Set a location per keyword, down to the city or ZIP code, and add a Google Maps rank grid for the terms that drive calls. The grid checks your Maps position at evenly spaced points around your business so you can see exactly where your visibility fades.
City and ZIP tracking
Results pulled from the location you choose, not from a data center.
Maps rank grid
A 5×5 or 7×7 grid around your address, refreshed on your schedule.
What you get
Built for people who check rankings every morning.
Everything you'd expect from a serious rank tracker, plus the context that makes the numbers useful.
Daily or weekly updates
Pick the cadence per keyword. Track money terms daily and long-tail terms weekly to keep credits for what matters.
Desktop and mobile
Mobile results often differ. Track both and see where your mobile rank lags behind.
SERP features
Know when a featured snippet, AI Overview, video carousel or local pack appears above your result.
Competitor tracking
Add up to ten competitors per project and see their positions for the same keywords on the same chart.
Alerts that matter
Get an email or Slack message when a keyword enters or leaves the top three, top ten or AI answers.
AI mention tracking
Pair each topic with real prompts and track whether assistants name you, cite you or recommend someone else.
Classic and AI, side by side
Your keyword list, with an AI column.
For every keyword group, add the questions people ask AI assistants about the same topic. You see positions and mentions in one table, refreshed on the same schedule.
| Prompt | ChatGPT | Perplexity | AI Overviews | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| software development company | #3 | Not named | #4 | Cited |
| custom software for startups | #6 | #2 | #1 | Not named |
| hire react developers | #11 | Not named | Not named | Not named |
| nearshore software firm | #2 | #5 | Cited | Cited |
01
Positions
Your exact Google and Bing rank, with the ranking URL and any SERP feature that sits above it.
02
Mentions
Whether each assistant names you in its answer, and in which position of its list.
03
Citations
Whether your page is used as a source, which is often the first step toward being recommended.
How it works
Set it up once. It runs on its own.
Most projects are tracking within five minutes. Import keywords from a file, from Search Console or from any research report in search.co.
- 01
Add your keywords
Paste them, import a CSV or pull your top queries from Google Search Console in one click.
- 02
Choose where and how often
Set locations, devices and cadence per keyword group so credits go where they count.
- 03
Add competitors and prompts
Pick the rivals to watch and the AI prompts to pair with each topic.
- 04
Get alerts with reasons
When something moves, you get the change and the most likely cause, not just a number.
What the numbers mean
Every metric, defined.
No black-box scores. Each number in the tracker has a plain definition, and you can export the raw data at any time.
- Position
- Your organic rank for the keyword at the chosen location and device, counting only classic organic results.
- Visibility
- Estimated share of clicks you capture across all tracked keywords, weighted by search volume and position.
- AI mention rate
- The share of tracked prompts in which an assistant names your brand in its answer.
- Citation rate
- The share of tracked prompts in which an assistant links to one of your pages as a source.
- Ranking URL
- The page Google shows for the keyword. If it changes, you may have two pages competing for the same query.
Ask about any drop
“Why did this keyword fall?” is a question, not a project.
Brigham reads the tracker history, your recent changes and the current results, then explains the movement in plain English.
Two things changed on the same day. Google added an AI Overview and a video carousel above the organic results, which pushed every result down two places. A competitor also published a 3,000-word guide that now ranks #5. Your page didn't change, so this is a competitive drop, not a penalty.
Recommended fixes
Sorted by impact
- 1
Earn a place in the AI Overview
1 hrThe Overview cites three pages that answer “how much does custom software cost”. Add a short pricing section with real ranges.
- 2
Match the new competitor's depth
Half dayTheir guide covers process, team structure and timelines. You cover process only. A brief is ready.
- 3
Add a short explainer video
1 dayA carousel now shows three videos. A two-minute walkthrough on the page can win a spot.
The difference
More than a table of positions.
A typical rank tracker
- Positions for Google only, usually at country level
- A drop is a red number with no explanation
- AI assistants are not tracked at all
- Competitor data lives in a separate tool
- Reports need to be built by hand every month
search.co rank tracker
- Google, Bing, Maps and AI assistants in one history
- Every movement comes with a likely cause
- Mentions and citations next to classic positions
- Competitors on the same chart, same schedule
- Branded reports that send themselves
How many keywords can I track?
As many as your credits allow. Each keyword check uses a small number of credits, so you can track more keywords weekly and your most valuable ones daily. The $20 plan's 1,500 monthly credits cover a typical small-business project comfortably.
Where do the rankings come from?
We fetch live search results from the location and device you choose at each scheduled check. We don't estimate positions from a database, so what you see is what a searcher there would have seen.
How do you track AI assistants?
You choose the prompts. We run them on your schedule across the assistants you select, store the full answer, and record whether you were mentioned, where in the list, and whether your pages were cited.
Know where you rank, everywhere it counts.
Start tracking in five minutes. Bring a domain and a few keywords and we’ll pull your first results right away.
