AI visibility
Find out what AI assistants say about you.
People now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Overviews which company to hire or which product to buy. AI visibility shows how often you are named, how you compare with competitors, how you are described and which of your pages the answers rely on.
Ask Brigham.aiHow visible is DEV.co in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini for “custom software development”, and who is named more often than us?- 5

Ask an assistant for “a good pest control company near Bentonville” and you get a short list of names. There is no page two. If you are not on that list, the buyer may never hear of you.
Classic rank tracking can't see this. A position report says nothing about whether ChatGPT recommends you or whether Perplexity cites your guide. Those answers change weekly, and they differ by assistant.
Search.co runs the prompts your buyers ask, across the assistants you choose, on a schedule. It stores every answer and turns them into four numbers: mentions, share of voice, sentiment and citations. Brigham.ai explains what drives them.
One brand, five assistants
Each assistant forms its own opinion.
Assistants don't share a single index. Perplexity leans on live web results, AI Overviews draws from pages that already rank, and ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude mix training with retrieval. The same question can name you in one and skip you in another.
Visibility is broken out per assistant, so you can see where you are strong, where you are missing and which gap is worth closing first.
Per-assistant scores
Mention rate, list position and citations for each assistant on its own line.
Combined view
One blended score for reporting, with the per-assistant detail one click away.
Prompt by prompt
See exactly where you appear, and where you don't.
The visibility matrix lists each tracked prompt against each assistant. A number is your place in the answer’s list, “Cited” means a page of yours was used as a source, and a dash means you were not named.
| Prompt | ChatGPT | Perplexity | Gemini | Claude | AI Overviews |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| best custom software firm | #3 | #2 | Not named | #4 | Cited |
| hire a react agency | Not named | #5 | Not named | Not named | Not named |
| nearshore dev team cost | #2 | Cited | #3 | #2 | Cited |
| mvp development partner | #1 | #1 | #2 | Not named | Not named |
| software rescue company | Not named | Not named | Not named | Not named | Not named |
01
Gaps jump out
A row of dashes is a topic where assistants don't connect you with the question at all. That is usually a content gap, not a ranking problem.
02
Position matters
Being named fifth in a list of five is different from being named first. We record where you appear, not just whether you appear.
The four numbers
AI visibility, defined plainly.
Each metric is calculated from the answers we actually collected. You can export the underlying answers at any time.
- Mentions
- How many tracked answers name your brand, and the mention rate: the share of prompts in which you appear at all.
- Share of voice
- Your mentions as a share of all brand mentions across the prompts you track, compared with the competitors you choose.
- Average position
- Where you sit in the list when an answer recommends several options. Lower is better.
- Sentiment
- Whether the language around your name is positive, neutral or negative, with the exact phrases that set the tone.
- Citations
- How often an answer links to one of your pages as a source, and which pages those are.
Trend over time
Watch the effect of every page you publish.
AI answers drift. A model update or a new competitor guide can move your mention rate in a week. Scheduled runs give you a trend line, not a one-off screenshot.
Mark the dates you published content and see whether it moved your visibility.
Sentiment
Know how you are described, not just whether.
Being mentioned with “known for missed deadlines” is worse than not being mentioned. Sentiment reads the sentences around your name in each answer and groups them by theme, such as price, quality, support or speed.
Each theme links to the answers that used it, so you can trace a negative description back to its source.
Themes, not just a score
See which attributes assistants attach to your brand and to each competitor.

Choose your prompts
Pick from suggested questions grouped by intent, or paste the ones your sales team hears every week.
- 02
Add competitors
Name the brands you lose deals to.

- 04
Read the report
Mentions, share of voice, sentiment and citations update after each run, with alerts on big moves.
Ask Brigham
Turn a visibility score into a to-do list.
Brigham.ai reads your stored answers, the pages they cite and your own site, then ranks the changes most likely to get you named.
Perplexity cites four pages for this prompt. Three of them are comparison articles that list Competitor A with team sizes and hourly ranges. Your nearshore page has no pricing, no time-zone detail and is not linked from any of those articles. Assistants name the brands their sources describe clearly.

Sorted by impact
- 1
Publish clear rate ranges
1 hrAdd a short section with typical hourly ranges and team sizes. Every cited page includes this and yours doesn't.
- 2
Add time-zone and overlap details
30 minTwo cited answers mention working-hour overlap. State yours in plain sentences near the top.
- 3
Get listed on the cited comparisons
OngoingReach out to the authors of the two comparison articles Perplexity cites most for this topic.
The difference
Better than asking ChatGPT yourself.
Checking by hand
- One prompt, one assistant, one screenshot
- Answers vary by run, so a single check misleads
- No record of what changed or when
search.co AI visibility
- Dozens of prompts across five assistants on a schedule
- Trends built from repeated runs, not one answer
- Every answer stored with its date and sources
Which AI assistants do you track?
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Overviews. You choose which ones each prompt runs against, so you can focus credits on the assistants your buyers use.
AI answers change every time. How can you measure them?
That is why prompts run repeatedly on a schedule. One answer is noise, but mention rates across many prompts and many runs show a reliable trend. Every answer is stored so you can check the detail.
Can you guarantee that assistants will mention us?
No one can. What search.co does is show where you are missing, which sources the answers rely on and which changes are most likely to help, then measure whether they worked.
What does it cost?
AI visibility is part of the single $20 per month plan, along with every other tool and Brigham.ai. Prompt runs use credits from your 1,500 monthly allowance, and you set a cap on any extra spend.
