Gemini visibility

Your brand in Gemini, measured next to your Google rankings.

Gemini is Google’s AI assistant, and it can draw on Google Search when it answers. search.co tracks the questions your customers ask it, records who gets named and which sources it shows, and puts the results beside your classic Google positions.

It’s tempting to assume Gemini simply repeats Google’s top results. Sometimes it does. Often it doesn’t: it summarizes, picks a few names, adds caveats and frames the choice in its own words. A brand that ranks third on Google can be missing from the Gemini answer, and the reverse happens too.

Because both come from Google, it helps to see them together. search.co tracks Gemini prompts in the same project as your Google keywords, so you can spot where your search strength carries over and where it doesn’t.

What Gemini can draw on

Be clear and consistent wherever you’re described.

When Gemini uses Google Search, it can draw on your site and on what others publish about you. Clear, consistent facts across those places make an accurate description more likely.

Google also documents a robots.txt token, Google-Extended, that controls whether your content can be used for Gemini models and some grounding features. It does not affect Google Search rankings. The readiness audit shows how yours is set.

Ask Brigham

Find the reason, then the fix.

Why does Gemini name Competitor A first for “best lender for small business loans” when ZEO.co ranks higher on Google?
Brigham.ai· example answer

Gemini’s answer is organized by loan type, and it names Competitor A under three of them. Your loans page ranks #2 on Google but covers loan types in a single paragraph. The sources it shows include two comparison articles that list Competitor A and not you.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Still unsure? Ask the team.

Is Gemini the same as AI Overviews?

No. Gemini is Google’s assistant, used in its own app and other Google products. AI Overviews appear inside Google Search results. We track both, separately, in the same project.

Does ranking on Google mean Gemini will mention me?

It can help, but it’s not a guarantee. Gemini summarizes and chooses which brands to name, so we track it directly instead of assuming.

Should I block Google-Extended?

That’s a business decision about how your content is used for Gemini. Google states it doesn’t affect Search rankings. The readiness audit shows your current setting.

How often do you run prompts?

Daily or weekly, set per prompt. Credits come from your monthly allowance.
